Starbuzz Bold Hookah Tobacco has released their newest flavor, and this one may be the best one yet! Code Blue is similar in taste to Starbuzz Blue Mist but with a “bold” essence and has a small hint of a chocolate flavored aftertaste. It’s been described as tasting just like a blue flavored Tootsie Roll!

Khalil Mamoon is well known for their authentic Egyptian Khalil Mamoon Hookahs, but they also offer the widest variety of unique hand-made Egyptian hookah hoses available!

KM hookah hoses have a colorful acrylic mouthpiece that is either affixed (glued onto the handle) or removable. Hoses with a removable mouthpiece have the advantage of swapping them out with a different one, such as a Fancy Nammor Hookah Hose mouthpiece or a Mystique Hookah Ice Hose Tip. Another feature that sets KM hoses apart from other Egyptian-made hookah hoses is a “heel” – this is the part on the other end of the hose that fits into the hookah and usually resembles a shorter version of the handle. While this feature is not on all KM hookah hoses, it gives your hookah a nice, attractive look to it.

One thing to note about measuring Khalil Mamoon hoses and why they are described as “around” a certain length instead of a standardized length has to do with their hand-made nature. Unlike machine made hoses, the length of the hose (not including the handle and heel) is cut at arms length. This can mean anywhere from 64 to 72 inches and up, depending on the arm span of the person making it. Of course, these small differences in length will not affect the overall quality or smoking experience in any way. It’s also important to note that, with the exception of the KM Washable Glitter Hookah Hose, KM hoses are not washable. They are reinforced with an inner coil that will rust or corrode over time if water is run through them enough times.

Khalil Mamoon Beast Hookah Hose: These monstrous hookah hoses are 4-6 mm wider in both the length of the hose and the handle, making them one of the widest and easiest hoses to draw smoke from. Measuring around a whopping 80 inches in total length (including the 20 inch long handle and mouthpiece), these heavy duty hoses feature a handle and heel that’s wrapped in a colorful taut woven fabric. They have a removable mouthpiece and are available in 6 colors.

Khalil Mamoon Signature Beast Hookah Hose: Measuring the same length and width as the KM Beast Hoses above (around 80 inches), these differ in that the Khalil Mamoon signature is printed along the length of the handle and heel. There is also a rainbow colored pattern that runs along the entire length of the hose. They have a removable mouthpiece and are available in 3 colors.

Khalil Mamoon Washable Glitter Hookah Hose: These hookah hoses are the first fully washable Khalil Mamoon Hookah hoses offered in our store. Measuring aroud 64 inches in length, these KM hoses are similar in design to the Khalil Mamoon Standard Hookah Hose except the inner lining is rubberized, allowing you to run water through them to clean and not have them rust or corrode over time. The handle is composed of taut braided fabric with small interspersed silver (or gold) threads, giving them a “glitterized” look. Only the solid black hose has a heel, which makes it aroud 6 inches longer than the other colors. They have an affixed mouthpiece and are available in 5 colors.

Khalil Mamoon Haya Hookah Hose: The KM “Haya” Hookah Hose is so named after the Arabic word for “snake.” Measuring at around 72 inches in total length it featuring a braided cord that wraps around the length of the handle and heel. They have an affixed mouthpiece and are available in 4 colors.

As the popularity of hookah grows, so do our options for smoking. The last couple of years have seen an explosion in the number of companies producing shisha for dedicated smokers to enjoy. One area of the market where there has been tremendous growth is in the tobacco-free market. Without nicotine, the jury still seems to be out as to whether or not these options will really catch on, but one thing is sure: There are a good number of tobacco-free options available with great flavor options and smoke quality if you are interested in giving them a try!

Hydro Herbal Shisha – We have been offering Hydro Herbal shisha on hookah-shisha.com since late 2008 when the company first began offering their product. Hydro uses sugar cane as a base in place of the tobacco which, in my opinion, adds to the amount of sugar available for vaporizing and enhances flavors. In fact, Hydro has such a high quality flavor and smoke to it that when smoking around the office people are often surprised to learn that they are smoking a tobacco-free product. “Dr. 23” and “Kali Drizzle” are two of my personal favorites and I am always sure to have some Hydro Herbal Shisha in my stash at home for when one of my friends request it.

Hookah-Hookah Evolution Tea Shisha – The makers of Hookah-Hookah Shisha Tobacco ventured into the tobacco-free market with Evolution Tea shisha. Favorite flavors from the tobacco line like “Peanut Butter” and “Pina Colada” carry over nicely to the tea side of the line. The tea shisha is a bit oily in texture and there is definitely a tea undertone to the flavors, but overall the quality of smoke is very good and the tea shisha is relatively resilient to over-heating.

Shiazo Shisha Steam Stones – One of the newest tobacco-free options comes to us all the way from Germany as Shiazo Shisha Steam Stones. The steam stones combine porous rocks with glycerin and flavors to create a steaming or vaporizing effect not unlike the steam stones in a sauna. The stones heat up helping the heat from coals reach deep into the bowl. The result is a large volume of vapor and flavor that lasts a long time and is extremely resilient to heat. I personally enjoy the “Pina Colada” flavor and have even had a pleasant experience mixing some of the flavors. The stones are also reusable (for a few sessions) so they also provide a reasonable value.

Al Fakher Herbal Shisha – The newest tobacco-free offering to hit hookah-shisha.com cashes in on the reputation that Al Fakher Shisha Tobacco has built in its wildly popular tobacco brand. My experience with this brand leads me to believe that whatever “natural herbs” are used in place of the tobacco in this brand are married with the same flavoring that Al Fakher uses in their tobacco, since the flavor seems to be nearly identical to the tobacco line. Smoke density and volume seems to be very good, but I found the Al Fakher herbal to take on a bit of an “herbal” taste if exposed to too much heat. I highly recommend giving the Al Fakher Herbal Shisha a try, just be careful to bring the heat up slowly to avoid burning the bowl and ruining the flavor.

You can now try their newest flavor that has just been released – “Qing Rubus,” which has a delicious blue raspberry taste and is currently available in the 250g size. You can also get Hydro in a 50g size and an economy-sized 1000g tub. Happy Smoking!

Add a little “bling” to an otherwise drab hookah! These hand-painted Fancy Syrian Hookah Bases make a great replacement for a broken base or simply to make your current hookah stand out in a crowd.

The Fancy Syrian Hookah Bases come in 3 different shapes – a “Balloon” shape, which is more bulbous and resembles and upside-down balloon, an “Dish” shape with  is more flat at the bottom, and a “Pear” shape.

These Bases have an opening at the top that is smaller than the average base (about 1.1 to 1.2 inches), so be sure to measure the part of your hookah stem that fits into the base. Using a traditional black rubber hookah base grommet on your hookah stem may be too thick to fit, so we recommend using one or more Mya Rubber Band Base Grommets for a snug fit.
