I was lured in by the idea of not having to spend minutes poking tiny holes in the foil - God, I feel like an idiot - Look at the picture, it's a small piece of plastic - The tips are not sharp - It should cost a $ - 25 tops - I like my heat management to come more from my coals than from the air intake, so these holes were too big anyway - WASTE OF MONEY -
best change i ever spent, works PERFECT on any small hookah starter bowl, other sizes not so much, i wish they made a vortex sized one
This tool is great - I hate punching hole one by one in my foil, trying to space them out and there's a greater risk of tearing the foil with the spike that comes on the tongs - One punch and its done - Great for my Mya hookah
I use it to punch holes in the center of my foil - Spaces them evenly and is good for a small bowl - For larger diameter bowls, you might need to punch a few extra holes but it sure beats doing them all one at a time - Great little gadget to have!
but "cute" is about all you can say about it - I've used several and they just don't work that well or save you much time - Maybe on good foil perfectly wrapped you can get the hang of it but all in all you may save 5 seconds over using a thumb tack or the pin on your tongs
nice little tool for 5 bucks - works just fine, havent had an issue with it yet - I enjoy not having to poke holes with a toothpick all the time -
I just got it today - I think it works great - I found the easiest way to use it is to take a piece of foam like they use in packing, not the little popcorn pieces - Lay your foil on it and then press straight down - - Works perfect -
it's an ok product at best, it's too small and for me it just rips the foil
I honestly do not see the point in purchasing this item. It may save some time in preparing the tin foil but there is plenty of times to do that while you heat up your charcoal. Do yourself a favor and just sharpen the end of your poker on the tongs that CAME with your Hookah. You wont need to worry about loosing it and you can create multiple tiny holes in your tinfoil. Every serious Hookah smoker knows that many tiny holes is the way to go.
makes nice and good holes, very effective on small bowls, the tobacco burn is much smoother. For large bowls like Phunnel its not ideal, I finally went back to toothpick for the phunnel bowl.
Don't waste your money. I figured since it was only 5 bucks i would throw one in my cart...I would rather have 5 double cheeseburgers from mcdonalds. They aren't sharp enough and not enough holes. boooo
Works great for smaller bowls, but if you use a mod, phunnel or hemi bowl, just bust out a toothpick.
I had something to this effect that I had made myself, but it eventually got stepped on and snapped. Overall, I'd give it a "decent" rating, but only because of the price. Pokes the holes very well, I have never had to go back and poke an extra hole. If you have an extra $5 to spend, tack this on your order. It's much better than looking for a thumb-tack or toothpick!
Not worth 5 bucks maybe, but its nice if you use a mod bowl or whatever and you're too lazy or whatever to poke holes yourself. Nicer smoke if you do it right yourself though.
