"Sweet"
Michael on Tuesday, February 02, 2010 6:20:42 PM

Love it, love it, love it! I got a whole bunch of coals while in Egypt and when those ran out, I got this. Soooooo much better. It's smooth, clean, with no taste at all. Plus I often am able to finish smoking, sprinkle water on the coal, and use it later. Great value.

"Best coals I've found so far"
Clint O on Tuesday, February 02, 2010 3:40:15 PM

So far I've tried several quick light coals and the lemonwood coals, and these are by far the best. The lemonwood are hard to light evenly and leave a lot of soot on your hands and pretty much anything that they touch. These take a few minutes to light, but it is well worth it. If you have an electric stove or portable burner, just sit it on the burner while you pack your bowl. Almost no taste and they last a while.

I went from the quick light to these and there is such a big difference.. These burn so much longer and have no taste or smell... I will never go back to the quick lights!

"Fantastic!!!"
Oniko on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 3:25:52 PM

Switched from Three Kings and holy hell these are amazing, went through the original order and online now to buy a 108 pack, anyone who is worried about the light time of coconara and switching from quicklights, trust me tryit once and you will not be dissappointed. Also a note, if you have an electric stove they are very easy to light, if not you can get a cheap 10 dollar one from a drugstore and works amazing as well as being portable. Get these!!!

"The Only Coal"
Celestial Galleria on Tuesday, November 03, 2009 9:12:47 PM

Was immediately ingtrigued with the product description of "longer burning coals" and "tasteless" I had to try. Bought a box, tried them out, have been amazed ever since. Never a harsh taste, Never need to light multiple coals, Never a mess!

I love these coals and shisha co coals. I also agree that they do take a long time to light so i start lighting them when i start setting up the hookah and by the time im done their ready.

"Best I've used"
Paul Stewart on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 11:50:37 PM

Where a lot of coals have obviously been blended into powder with a bunch of other junk and pressed back together Coco Nara coals are more dense and chunky and, when I stopped to think about it, this explains their good points and bad points at the same time. The reason why they take so long to light, the reason why they burn for so long, the reason why they give off so much heat, and the reason why they produce less ash than other brands... .. is because they're just good quality coals :) Coco Nara #1

"Totally worth the time"
Joe McCabe on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 6:32:43 PM

The only negative is the time it takes to light them. I ran out of these and used my quick light coals... the difference was that i could hardly smoke it

These do pretty much stay lit forever, unfortunately I have to heat it with a flame though... My stove or w/e is like just a glass surface ><;; But these are my favorite coals so far (:

"Amazing to say the least!"
Ramy A on Sunday, October 04, 2009 3:47:29 PM

The best coals available in the world hands down. People often complain about how long they take to light but they will last forever. Even when the coals have been on the head for a while, they still hit consistently well. There is no odor or bad taste, regardless of how much you smoke the head. When you use quick lighting coals, it takes a few pulls before you can get good smoke going. However, by the end of the first pull with these coals, you'll be blowing out clouds of smoke. I used to use golden coals and i can say that i will NEVER go back to them. Try them, you will be glad you did!

"Awesome Awesome AWESOME!"

These coals are amazing, being someone who switched from Three Kings I was surprised by how much difference using non match light coals makes. They burn for a crazy long time, have no harsh flavor and come from a natural resource. Why haven't you bought these yet?!?

"Nothing less"
Mike on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 11:21:31 AM

These are the best coals on the planet, hands down! Sure they take some time to light but if you get them going on a stove top while youre making your bowl...perfect timing. No harsh flavor, burn for a reeeealllly long time. Can never go back to quick lights!

"Best Coals Ever"
Randy in SATX on Friday, September 18, 2009 2:28:01 PM

I usually wait a while to write a product review to make sure it holds up after the newness wears off. These are FANTASTIC! slow burning, clean burning, and flavorless. Some of the bad reviews are from people who are not using a phunnel bowl. Trust me. They are also well worth the money and with these coals it's near impossible to burn your shisha

"Superiority in a block"
Kenji on Saturday, September 12, 2009 3:52:45 PM

These took forever to light, but once I got them going I could easily tell how superior to the quick-light coals they were. No chemical taste, even burn, and they last so much longer than anything else I've used. I highly recommend them. PS. I lit two or three blocks on a gas stove for about 3 minutes to get them red.

"Never going back"
Jordan on Saturday, August 22, 2009 1:29:08 AM

They take some time to light (3-5 mins), but well worth it. Tasteless, no chemically flavor. They last longer than anything I've used before. I literally cannot bring myself to use my box of quicklights anymore, I just can't do it after using these. BUY BUY BUY
