Before I got my hookah order in the mail, I hit up a local shisha lounge to practice some rings - They use quick lites I think and OUCH - The coal smothered the flavor of the double apple! It was so harsh and burned my throat! But today I tried these coco babies for the first time and I'M IN LOVE! Put em in my kaloud lotus and there was barely any ash! Not looking back, investing in a huge box of these or coco mazayas next paycheck!
So far I have tried gaia, cocobuzz, coco nara, and coco mazaya - gaia was decent and the only complaint I have is that they burn a little bit more quickly than coco nara, cocobuzz was junk as the coals burned extremely quickly, but both coco nara and coco mazaya were excellent and long lasting - The Coco Nara flat pieces light a little bit more quickly than the cubes so if you are using the cube shaped coco mazaya make sure you heat them a minimum of 5 minutes on the top and bottom - If you do not heat the coco mazaya long enough you will get a charcoal flavor which is no good -
I got Coco Nara Natural Hookah Coals free with my last hookah - I have been smoking for 3 years, and I've always just used quick light coals - But the Coco Nara natural coals have changed my whole hookah experience - No taste, no odor, and best of all no "after hookah headache" - I used to quit a bowl after 45 min or an hr because the quick lights would make my shisha taste burnt after a while - But with the Coco Nara coals, my bowls last at least 2 hours, and never taste burnt - Sure they take several minutes to light, but I put a couple on my coil burner stove top and then set up my bowl and my hookah - The Coco Nara coals are ready to go after 5 min or so on the stove top - Seriously worth it - I recommend Coco Nara Natural Hookah Coals to every hookah lover on the planet - Do it -
been smoking with coco coals for about a month now - i really love how my shisha is - went back to quick lights because i ran ouy of naturals - bad very bad - im ordering new coals rite now

I use these coals exclusively now after I quit using quick lights because of their side-affects - These don't add any taste, ash very little, burn a long time, and importantly don't cause me headaches - To all of the people trying to use a cigarette lighter to light these: what are you doing?? They aren't quick lights! Do you start a BBQ with natural coal with a cigarette lighter or a match? No, you use a charcoal chimney or an electric coal starter - If you have an electric coil cook-top, throw your Cocos on one of the burners set to high before you start setting up the hookah and they'll likely be ready when you're done setting up - They should also light easily on a gas stove, but I haven't personally tested that method - I moved last summer and my new apartment has a glass-ceramic cook-top, which won't light these coals, so I picked up a portable single coil burner Hookah-Shisha sells these, but IMO they are overpriced: http://www - hookah-shisha - com/p-9476-single-coil-hookah-charcoal-heater - html and have had no problems lighting my coals - The burner is compact enough that I can take it with me when I go to a friend's house and I'll never have to smoke quick-lights again -
Legit. If you consider yourself a hookah pro dont be caught without them. Make sure to light them on a stove top or coil burner. they usually take about 5-7 min to fully light
these coals are the best ive ever used and now can no longer go back to quicklights, NO coal taste and very easy to keep the heat under control - but make sure you have a stove, or small electric "eye" coiled electric stove top nearby when you smoke cause these will NOT light with anything else - but totally worth the extra time and effort compared to quicklights -
They take a bit longer to light but work extremely well - No chemical taste like you get from the quick lights - I took them over to a friends house to use on their hookah - Im not sure what they used before but they were ranting and raving about how nice these coals were and how flavor full and thick the smoke was -
don't light at all!! i used a mini blow torch and that still didn't light these sucktastic coals! very disappointed because now i have to go buy new coals before i can try my new hookah that i just got yesterday -
First time using the coconara coals and i found them to be good - No smell, almost no ashes and no taste - Be sure to know how to light them, i didnt - Be careful when lighting it on a vitroceramic cooktop - - - i scratched mine :
These coals are great - You just need to have patience when lighting them like most user said 10 mins average time to light them, which is long - But once they are light they last!
i love these coals, they dont smell and last longer then anyother - - - - but takes so long to light but i just put then on stove and finish setting everything up when i come back to coals they are almost ready -
I got the 16 pack of Coco Nara coals when I ordered my hookah - Until trying these, I had only ever used the Three Kings Instant Light - These smell a lot better, but more importantly, don't make the smoke taste like chemicals - They also last FOREVER and are very hot - It took a little getting used to having to cook them on the stove the first time my boyfriend tried to light them, he didn't leave them on long enough and we had to finish heating it up next to one of the Three Kings coals - - - - Overall, they're great, and we plan on buying one of the larger packs -
