i order one of these and it works just fine
I just bought one of the vortex bowls and it seems that one of the holes isn't punched all the way through, and the other 3 holes aren't level around the bowl - Can't beat half price though! You have to risk it for the biscuit!
I've gotten three discount vortex bowls and one discount egyptian - One vortex bowl had a very tiny scratch I literally had to squint to search for - The other had a hole deformity where one of the holes were slightly lower than the others - The other vortex had a small, insignificant chip by one of the holes in the bowl - The vortex colors I got they are a surprise were black, red, and light purple - The Engyptian bowl has a glave deformity - In all 4 bowls, the fault did not affect the performance of the bowl - In only one case the egyptian bowl, the fault was visable while smoking - Very good deal, especially considering we all know how quick bowls break -
I bought 2 of these bowls and both came in perfectly working condition with only a small spot of discoloration - You may not be able to choose the color, but these are the perfect back-up or extra bowls -
I ordered a Vortex bowl knowing full well it was going to be defective in some way - When the bowl arrived I was shocked to find only a small cosmetic imperfection with the paint - This bowl works great and I have zero complaints - If you’re willing to roll the dice on color and imperfections to save a little money this is for you -
i ordered a phunnel and I have to say fantastic. slight glazing deformity and you don't know what color you will get but trust me try it. the worst that could happen is you're out $4.
I've purchased two of the standard egyptian bowls at the discounted price. The first one had a tiny chip on the outside but it didn't even go past the glaze. One of the holes is blocked and I haven't gotten around to drilling it, but the bowl is the perfect width and height for even heating and long 1.5h hookah sessions. The second one had a tiny bit of blockage on one of the holes but it was easily cracked through with a tongs poker. It's not as wide as the first one so I'll be keeping it for the mini mya. Overall a great deal on good workhorse bowls.
I ordered four of these replacement bowls. I truly have nothing bad to say about the Egyptian bowl, it works great. However if what was on some of the bowls that I got in the package is what is considered a "cosmetic imperfection", then I'd warn to just pony up a few extra dollars and buy the full-priced ones. Of the four I ordered, two were damaged beyond any sort of practical use - on one the top was so chipped so deep that it ripped through the foil and the bottom on the other one was almost broken off. Now, I don't claim that the bowls were packaged that way - a lot of the chipped clay that broke off was in the package on the bottom - but if that is indeed not the case, they certainly got a whole lot worse in transit. Bottom line, of the four I got, only two are usable. Next time I'll just order them in pristine condition.
I broke a bowl for one of my hookahs and this was a cheap way to replace it. If you care about cosmetics then you might want to look into a new one but for the spare hookah that gets tossed around, these are perfect.
