These coals are perfect if you are on travel mode - Easy to light and they dont smell bad either - The wrappings they come into are well made and easy to seal up again in case you want to keep them for later -
Eh, good if you're in a hurry but if you're smoking hookah; you shouldn't be in a hurry - Tastes like ash and ruins the bowl pretty much instantly - Go with natural coals - They take patience but so much more worth it -
I started out with this brand and thought they were great - I wanted to go for a more natural option so I tried other brands but was disappointed - I made the permanent switch back to the Golden Coals - They are easiest and quickest to light but most importantly they do not make your hoses ashy - These are the least messiest coals out there - You may have a slight taste of charcoal compared to the All Naturals, but the positives outweigh that negative -
i've tried alot of different coals and the golden coals are by far the best -
While these coals do have the advantage of being instant light you can light them with a lighter, instead of heating them on the stove that feature is also a big con. When they light, they immediately smell bad, and that smell tends to stick around and affect the taste of the shisha. They also tend to give me headaches, in comparison to some silver japanese coals I've used, I'm assuming partially because of the components that make them instant light.
The first hookah I ever tried use one of these, and I have always bought these sense. 3 kings are about as good, but crumble way too much, I have burn marks all in my rug because of them. I taste no chemical taste, I have never had a headache, and there's always a good amount of smoke with these. But please, if you are gonna write a review, don't compare quicklights with naturals, there is no comparison :
Two rolls of this stuff came with my hookah. While it lights fast, it cooks way to hot and burns out in maybe 20 minutes. I had to keep moving the coal around because it kept burning the bowl. I must say it was bad.
I wish there was an in between smiley, b/c I wouldn't call these bad, but not good either. They are SUPER easy to light, so that's a plus. However, they burn so quickly that I was constantly rotating them so I got good smoke. It's sorta annoying.
I've always used 3 Kings, but I couldn't find the super pack option with them on my last order so I tried a box of golden coals. Aside from the packaging, there's pretty much no difference at all, except that these are a bit harder and don't crumble as easily when you're handling them. Also harder to break in half for easier heat management. Similar lighting time, similar smell/taste, similar longevity. I would not hesitate to buy again.
Quick light but doen't always stay lit. A lot of waste while you reheat the coal, then too small to bother with. It's okay if that's all you have.
If you have to go quick light, these arent terrible to use. they do light very quicky and burn for a decent amount, but they do take away from the flavor of the shisha. which is the opposite of what you want when smoking. So if you must, use these but try to get yourself some natural coals and learn to be patient. it'll pay off in the long run.
light fast dont stink.
Only coals i use, Light easy, No nasty tastes (Other smokers must not be waiting on the coal to finish lighting or something) And three of them keeps my phunnel smoking Long & Strong
they light up fast and does the job..got 2 rolls free with my hookah and now ordered 10 more..i definitely recommend buying this..
These coals are very quick to light and easy to use. They don't last forever and the smell when you first light them is nauseating but they work well and I buy them time after time.
