Bought these with my first hookah and I am VERY pleased with them -
Best coal I have used, lights up fast and heats up very nicely. What I do is let the coal spark all the way til it stops then blow on the coal to make sure its nice and hot and put it on the foil so that I don get the harsh smell of flavor, shisha flavor stay in perfect
no taste of chemicals, easy lightning, last long. A good product!
I picked up a couple packs of Golden Coal at my local tobacco/hookah shop because it was all they had and I'm so glad I did. These coals light really quick and last a good long while. With other coals I've had issues with an ashy taste once it's been burning a while, but I don't have this problem using Golden Coal. I am very pleased with this brand and will continue to buy them for all of my hookah sessions.
Works great, lights fast, lasts long. awesome stuff right here. the only down fall is the sparking but that doesn't matter if you light it over something that's not flammable hah. i recommend this stuff.
With a normal flame this takes about 30-45 seconds to get red hot all the way through, but if you have a butane torch around...it takes about 5 seconds! Good heat management for a quick lite and lasts a decent 30 minutes with two people drawing.
I initially used Akhla simply because it came with the first order. They had no aftertaste but were very smoky and threw lots of sparks when lit. A bit scary, no? The Golden light a bit more slowly but do not throw fountains of sparks and nearly no smoke. I notice no odd taste or scent. The smoke from my hookah with these seems heavier with these but this isn't a concern for me. The biggest shock is how long these coals last. Does bye bye Akhla mean anything to you? And so much less expensive, too.
These are my favorite Quicklights on the market. Although I get better heat management with the 33mm than the 40mm.
These hooka coals are great for impatient people like me. I have never had a problem with these coals. They are great coals.
