Dont listen to any other reviews! I just wanted it because of the looks but its awsome! Its got a huge air space in it for huge clouds and smooth hits! Looks amazing too! And the two cloth balls are the perfect distance between the handle for a perfect fit of your hand - Highly recommend this hose im buying 2 more for my 3 hoser
I have three of these hoses from a set I bought about six years ago, and here is how I clean them: Put the plastic head into a sink full of water hot and put the base of the hose, that part that goes into your Hookah, into a bucket or some other drain - Get the water flowing, either by sucking on the end or just by raising and lowering the end, and let the hot water flow for several minutes - You'll watch the stuff in the hose wash out as you let the hoses drain like this - After you've decided that the water flowing looks clean, take them out of the sink and squeeze the heads with a towel to dry them - Hang them over a shower rod or another place where they can drain and dry and you'll have no issues I've done this more times than I can remember over six years - by the way, if your Cobra doesn't draw well, make sure you check the fittings to see that everything is tight -
Using this hose for the first bowl right now and I really dig it - I got a "furry" slightly better version at a local shop for about 20 bucks - It is awesome - It pulls a tiny bit harder than my old hose but it's not bad at all - The handle is the perfect size and the cobra head makes holding the hose up for a hit less awkward than a strait tip - The hose feels durable and well made - I'd definitely recommend this - It works great and looks awesome! The only con is I got scoobies for a few drags in the middle of each bowl - It's nothing a good shaking can't resolve though!
Now, with the caveat that it is an unwashable hose, this is a good one - You get a decent pull if you keep it clean, the mouth piece is curved, which makes it fun to smoke out of - BUT it is unwashable - I'm having issues with tastes getting stuck in there and the pull is a little harder now - Design is great, but I'm going to replace them with a Nammor now -
This was my first hose besides the cheap hose that came with my hookah - Its not bad really, it just takes a little extra effort cleaning when you have spare time - What works best for me is I get 70% rubbing alcohol and just funnel about a couple table spoons worth of it into the hose - Ive had this for a few months now and ive had no rust or bad flavor problems and I smoke at least 1 or 2 times a day of 1-2 hour sessions - : P - S - this hose also looks pretty sweet -
I love the feel of this hose alot better than just straight hoses - It looks sweet too - The only thing I'd change is making the inside out of glass or something because after a while it started to taste like metallic type flavor - I've tried blowing it out but I still can't get the flavor out -
When I first bought these, I was really excited. They look GREAT and the hits were good. I don't smoke out my hookah all that often, so my hookah doesnt have super high mileage on it, but when I do use it, I expect it to taste good. In no time at all, these hoses got the metallic rust/ash problem, and since you can't really clean them, that is a huge problem. So I started using the filters. Within no time, the hose itself started to smell bad. I think these hoses actually absorb the smoke and after using these hoses recently, I actually felt sick. Never again would I buy these. Thinking about trying the Nammor hose since it is easily washable and I smoke only infrequently. The hoses that came with my Syrian 2-hose Chiller hookah lasted longer then these, but I wouldnt but those again either, same metallic rust problem.
These are not my favorite hoses but a buddy came up with and ingenious cleaning method he would go to a gas station with a free tire pressure dealy and blow that through the hose, still its a hassle but it works
at first they were awsome but know i've smoked them, for a while and dont know how to clean them because you cant put water down it now.
This hose is pretty nice. It hits pretty good. but over time i noticed it starts to get harder to draw from. Produces a good amount of smoke. Cant realy clean this hose, so after a few months i noticed i could taste all the flavors that have gone thru the hose. also tasted metallicRUST. But this is good for a beginner.. I would recommend the nommor hose just for a few dollars more
For a great way to clean these hoses as well as any other tube like space follow these steps. Take a piece of nylon cord or fishing line, about 2 feet longer than your hose, Tie a small scrap of sturdy cloth to one end, big enough to provide some resistance within the hose but small enough to not cause any damage. Try to avoid anything that will leave lint or treads behind. Thread the string through the hose then slowly pull the cloth through, to sweep out any debris and absorb left over liquids, do this as many time as you think is necessary, and remember to replace your cloth if it gets really dirt, for intense cleaning you can wet the cloth with Rubbing Alcohol, 70% or higher, the alcohol evaporates fast enough to prevent the metal from rusting. For a more professional approach you can go to almost any music store and buy a Trombone Slide Cleaner. Good Luck and Happy Hookah
So i bought this hose, loved the way it looked felt nice to hold, comfortable, easy, not too bad of a draw. pretty good. then about a month into it i noticed the draw getting worse, harder to pull from, the smoke started to taste nasty, just no good. I bought the hose thinking it was pretty neat but it just isn't that good. I ordered a nammor and i just smoked with it, i already like it better.
As I mentioned above, its comfy on the hands and all but if your like me and smoke different flavors of shisha in a night then these arent for you, they do absorb the taste of shisha way to much and I hate that, Nammor hose are the way to go
Nice hose, long, flexible, weighted right. You don't have to wash it, just hang it up by the mouth piece & leave it overnight. All the wetness runs out of it. Put a paper towel under the other end.
Pros: Decent looking Cool Concept Angled head so you can hold it below your mouth rather than straight forward Cons: Very Narrow hose makes for hard draw Cheap looking head Poor quality on head glue marks, paint uneven
