An alternative to using hookah foil, this reusable metal hookah screen sits on your hookah bowl and holds your hot hookah coals that heat the shisha tobacco. The hookah screen is about 2 1/4 inches in diameter and features "tabs" that can fold down to secure it to your hookah bowl. This will fit on most any hookah bowl and makes preparing your shisha very quick.
Amazing you can put a piece of foil under and poke holes in it thru the screen and you don't have to worry about the foil coming undone and having to mid session put new foil on top
Those that say this screen burned their shisha had their bowl filled way too high, or were pulling on their hose until the coal was white hot! OR BOTH! LOL! These are hookas guys, not bongs! As for heat control? Only the heated air is supposed to get through, so use more coal to cover all that open space! These are made for wide diameter hooka bowls, not bongs - Maybe small lung capacity people cant handle the volumn of air that large hookas need to operate properly! Yeah! Dont be stingy, call in a buddy for some backup suction and share, or get a smaller hooka or even a one hitter bong! This screen holds the charcoal at the level of the bowls rim above the shisha mix - Using it with "Hookah & Shisha Centrals" 'ultimate combo bowl and cover' it works FANTASTIC for me!
I have been trying many different screens, and this one actually works! The other ones just made everything taste awful with a burning sensation. Try this and save money on tinfoil!
I bought one of these and I enjoy it - I haven't burned my shisha to the bottom unless u over fill it - I didn't like using up all my foil in the house when I ran out of shisha foil that I bought - I have people come over and I use this all the time and it's good to me - Good buy for me really - I plan on buying a hookah as a gift for a friend and they want this same cover - It saves money and time and none of my friends or I have had an over heating problem to the point of the shisha burned to the bottom - Just don't over fill the bowls - I hope you enjoy this product as much as My friends and I -
Theres a lot of pros to using this vs foil and i LOVE it! Pros: No more punching holes! Reusable, never have to clean, pops on and off for quick bowl changes, and over all faster starting and smoother smoking bowls - cons:If you dont watch your heat it can go bad quickly - Over all 9/10
I use this metal screen as a heat shield on my bracket hookah Bowl is actually under the vase - I just bend the tabs of the metal screen down and place over two burning coconara coals - Works great! ~-_-~
I've been using the same screen for over a year they hold up good and cut prep time. I use a pair of pliers to curl the edges over the side of my bowl for a better seal. works better than foil imo due to the size of the holes.
I received a screen with my Nammor Nile, and I quite like it. It requires more coals two coconaras seem to do the trick, but it saves the hassle of cutting foil and punching holes. The biggest reason I like it is because I was always less-than-thrilled with the fact that I was inhaling burn foil.
Didn't seal well with the Mya bowl that came with my hookah. Tinfoil was much more effective.
We used to blow through so many foil squares and I was tired of doing that. I took a shot on this screen and I've been satisfied with it so far. If it's your first bowl of the night then expect it to take several minutes to get rolling, but once it starts rolling it rolls better than foil as it stays hotter and dissipates heat more evenly. Also, beware of how crazy hot this gets after you use it. Have a towel or tongs nearby and prepare to do some humorous maneuvers when repacking the bowl. Despite this, I still recommend it to people who are tired of ripping foil or buying packs of squares.
i got one of these with my hookah. it seemed like an awesome idea but it failed to please me even a little. my screen was made from steel which holds heat much better than aluminum. the result was that the shisha burned onto the screen. the screen also made it hard to shift the heat effectively to get an even burn. overall it was terrible. do not buy one unless you love harsh smoke and quickly burnt shisha
it sucks.the holes are to big and makes heat management hard.it burn's the out of the shisha and doesn't work on funnel bowls.its a piece of steal.of course it will over heat.
If I had the option I'd rank this at 5/10. It's a good backup if you run out of foil, but when I've tried the screen it usually heats shisha too much for my tastes and takes quite a bit longer to get started.
I've been using my same screen for about two years and it still works great. It fits on most of my hookahs, though it's a bit big for some of my small ones. I love not having to carry foil and pins anymore. Greatest invention ever!
This screen keeps shisha from burning up fast and allows for a good smoke quality. I love it!
