After using coconaras for a very long time, I gave these a tru and glad I did - What sets these apart from the Coconara's are: lights faster, ashes a bit thicker, burns very slightly hotter and a bit cheaper - What I did notice is that while throughout the smoking session, one end of the coal would blacken fairly quick comapared to Coco's - Other than that, solid coals - A must try
I was using quick light starbuzz coals prior to these and the difference is amazing - I use 3 coals on a large tangiers phunnel bowl and the session last around an hour and a half with perfect clouds for the first hour - Do regular coal maintenance and the bowl never gets harsh - Light fairly quickly on heating plate and have little odor -
Used Cocos for a long time then decided to give these a go one day and fell in love -
I've been impressed with these coals - They last a good bit of time, don't ash too much and have good heat - While the shape may be a bit inconsistent, it isn't enough from dissuade me from purchasing this product again -

I was honestly surprised when I saw negative reviews about theses coals - I have tried several brands of natural coals and none have come close to the satisfaction I experienced with theses - They light up relatively quickly but most importantly burn hot and last a long time - They also do not mask the flavor of you tobacco at all,they virtually have no taste - I have found that three coals on a vortex bowl with a more of a moist shishafantasia,starbuzz etc - will give you a very enjoyable smoking experience - I don't see myself buying any other coals in the near future -
Best of all for me - They light really fast and their short tabel shape gives more heating surface than naras and the coals are more stable on the tobacco - They work like quick lighting coals and when prepared they make some smelly flame - However, if used after 10 seconds this smell does not transfer to tobacco -
These things are not comparable to coco-naras - First thing I noticed was the shape of the coals - They seemed airier, not quite as compact - Then I put them on the stove and got a big whiff of old shoe - They lit very quickly, but burned proportionally as fast - Cocos last twice as long at least, and even if they didn't the ash produced from these guys is like having a live pine tree shed in your living room -
Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from, because if you like cocos then you'll like this just as much. They light fast, stay lit and hot for over 90 minutes, ash nicely, and maintain consistent heat. Anyone who has a problem with these probably doesn't understand how to light them. If you like cocos give these a try you won't be disappointed.
These are great coals. minor scent while lighting, but they light up in under 10 minutes. they last long and are completely tasteless. highly recommend.
These things are by far the worst coals I've ever used. They smell terrible when lighting, then once you get them lit, they go out after about 15 mins. After talking with customer service on 3 different occasions, it seems there is no solution to this problem. I am very unsatisfied with these coals.

It burns very hot, lasts a long time, and a pretty fair price. I would definitely recommend them.
I use three of these coals while using an apple bowl and they work great. Heat management is superb and they last the entire bowl. There is only a hint of an odor while heating but none what so ever after they are lit. It is amazing how little they ash as well. After having the worst experiences in my life with lemonwood coals the ones in the red bag that come in all sorts of sizes, half way through smoking it tasted as if inhaling charcoal dust. This taste coated the inside of the hookah and hoses and took a lot of cleaning and smoking to get rid of im glad i switched to these.
