For such cheap instant light coals these are absolutely amazing! They light insanely fast and burn long and well! A must buy for any hookah smoker!

OMG this stuff is amazing i just tried it right now and omg they burn really great - - no ashy flavor - - the only thing is that when lighting they wont light with a lighter and they smoke a ton - - so light outside like it says on the box - - but besides that they are amazing - - dont hesitate to buy

got these coals because they were the featured item - - - they are awesome they do flame up i recommend using a torch and not a regular lighter - - - they do just stay in a packed square which is really nice

Extreme experience ~10+ years / own a hookah catering company These coals burn VERY evenly, are clean, and are all around fantastic - However, THEY ARE NOT SELF-LIGHTING - IF you have a strong flame source, they will light quickly - But if all you have is a LIGHTER, they WILL NOT light - I waited to write my review after my first use - Since then I have now gone through about 18 of these coals and have tried to light them all with a lighter before putting them in stronger heat sources - PROS: EVEN, clean, light FAST CONS: NOT INSTANT-LIGHT - They will NOT light with only a lighter without extreme effort - Overall though, as long as you are near any decent flame source, these are fantastic - I only rated them bad because they are not instant light, and this nearly ruined one of my smoking sessions - Nonetheless, they are great coals -

They do indeed light fast, and I have yet to have the harsh taste that I've come to associate with most quick-light coals - The initial smoke is acrid but dissipates quite fast, leaving little to no unpleasant odor lingering in the air even when lit in a smallish room - I typically smoke in my bedroom approx 10x13 sq ft and it's never been a problem - I do find that I need something a bit stouter than a regular Bic lighter to get them going, but a hurricane lighter or blowtorch works a treat and lights it up far faster than even 3 Kings or Starlight would with the same lighter - I used to swear by 3 Kings, then I switched to Starlight, now I swear by these - A great coal for the money!

I have used all of the instant lights, and these are by far the best, the only problem i have is they will spark a little and sometimes split, but its no big deal if you smoking outside

These quick lite coals are the best I have ever used! I have tried many different varieties from our local shop including the golden coals which are a close second to these in my book - There is no dissernable flavor and they burn clean and smooth after the quick lite outer layer is burned off - They take a little longer to like than golden but are just like the box says, ready in under 1 minute and they are well worth the extra time - I ran out of shisha in my bowl and barely noticed that I was smoking just the coals! I would reccomend these to EVERYONE! Try em - Short wait time, no discernable flavor, stays in it's form as it burns, barly ashes and the heat is perfect - Try em out for yourself and you will be pleased -

I usually dont use quick light coals. but these are great! they do produce a lot of smoke, so its better to light them outside first. i used 3 to get my phunnel bowl started, then took one off. tasteless oderless. overall great coals.

First we will get the drawbacks out of the way. As stated they can produce more spark when lit.I've had them spark or flame like crazy and I've had them just fizzle.I use a propane torch to get them going,much easier than a lighter.Most of the time a fizzle.Ye be warned! Another draw back is I found they dont burn quit as hot as natural coco coals or discs.I primarily use a Vortex or a small Tangiers bowl.With the juicier shishas i.e. Starbuzz,Romman,etc.I use 3 coals.Just to get it going,then I take one off.With the classic shisha that aren't as moist,Nahkla,AF,Al-Waha 2 does the trick.On the plus side they have no taste,they are,like the box says"ready in 1 min."They produce little to no ash.By this I mean it stays in a cube.They are excellent for Vortex or Tangier type bowls or anybody who is like me, and a freak over heat management.I would rather them be a little cool than too hot.You can always use that 3rd coal I was talking about earlier to regulate.I smoke at least 2 bowls a day and use these primarily.I still have a box of Naras and even a bag of lemmonwood for when I feel like getting old school or setting the mood.When feeding your shisha habit,there is no coal greater.

Im always using quicklights because I mostly use my hookah when I bring it to friends places and they don't always have a stove. Ive tried every quicklight on the market and THESE ARE THE BEST handsdown. No nasty taste, burn forever, and ash very nicely...

these coals light really easy. they do smoke up and sometimes catch on fire unlike other instant light coals. there is no taste from the coal so that's a plus. it does ash a good amount. i would suggest and the box suggests to light outside! because of it flaming up. it also gives off a little smell when it come's to lighting it. i would also suggest to use a torch lighter it would light a lot faster than a normal flame lighter. i'll suggest these coals to anyone :
