works better than I had imagined and is a beautiful accessory for any hookah lover's lounge - But keep in mind that it is VERY large for recreational use - Holds a lot of coal and is overkill for just a few people but I hold parties here where I may have half a dozen hookahs burning up at once around the property and this is a lovely tool to have
