Product Reviews For the product: Coco Nara Hookah Coals (108 Pieces) - Write Your Own Review
I just bought these coco nara coals and was wondering what you all use to light them. I'm used to quick lights and starting them wit a torch lighter. i tried to use the torch and my usual fan to speed up the light but it didnt burn well so i need some feed back please and thankyou
I used to use Golden Coal but switched over to Coco Naras, they are definitely worth it, take a lot longer to prep but the smoke is so much better! The charcoals don't leave a lot of mess either!
It's awesome to finally be able to get over the nasty taste of the quicklights and actually taste the sheesha! The only downside is how long they take to light.. and if you don't have them lit all the way around they will burn out fast.. But it's worth it for the improved taste.
If you can't get these coals to work my guess is your doing something wrong. These are easily the best coals there are. you cook them till they are white all around. then smokocity.
Great Coals, no funky tast from quickstarts and don't break up like Lemon wood. I would recommend buying the coal starter to light them closer to your Hooka and not mess up your stove.
Get them lit and your done boo boo. Last forever with no bizarre taste! What a great product. Far superior to nasty quick-lights. Keep your flavor without that unintentionally added extra flavor! Highly recommended!
I'm about a half hour into my first smoke with these (romman chocolate strawberry). So far incredible compared to quick quick lights and hardwood. Does take a little while to light on the stove.
I recently switched from Quicklight Coals to Cocos. These coals provide great heat, light easily (even for a novice), ash very little, have very little to no taste/smell, and last very long. Never using Quicklights again if I can help it. Make the switch, its totally worth it.
These coals were awful. I will never buy them again. they took forever to light on the stove, they burn unevenly, they broke apart white lit, and they tasted bad. Dont buy
The best charcoal i have used in ten years bar none
I just want to take back my review from march, it was my fault that it was getting harsh, i was overpacking the bowl. these coals are amazing now, never burn if done properly, a must have for any avid hookah lover.
I've only ever used quick light coals in my two years of smoking. They are so easy to light. But I just got these Coco Nara coals today. All I can say to anyone who has never tried natural coals is: switch to Coco Nara. The extra trouble is nothing compared to the amazing improvement. The major thing is the flavor Cocoa Naras don't add. Plus they last longer and make less mess.
Sizes are just right, and they don't take too long to light (about 7-10 minutes). I haven't had a problem with the number of charcoals I've needed to use. If I don't get enough smoke, add another charcoal. If it starts getting harsh, move the charcoals to the edges of the bowl... simple.
they are the BEST and most consistent natural coal I have ever used. Romman are inconsistent[some bags are half full of rocks], exotica seem to produce huge amounts of carbon monoxide. Coco Nara coals last forever[each coal easily last over an hour] and there is no need to cut/saw/snap the coals into smaller pieces, and are about the perfect size if you are using a mya head, but if you smoke a mod bowl i find that 1 is never enough and 2 are a bit much if you lay them flat, but its easily fixed by placing one on its side.
i purchased these coals after reading all of the reviews and must say i have been less than happy with them. I find that everytime that i use them its a bad smoking experience. if i use 1 coal i get so little smoke, if i use two it gets harsh in 10 min. I thought at first it was my packing skills, but this happens with who ever packs. The only thing i can think of is that i get them too hot, using a electric stove i put it on the lowest setting for them to light. overall i wouldnt recommend these coals.
