Hookah Tobacco Review: Social Smoke Hookah Tobacco - Blush

By Jono / January 20, 2011

The unofficial, unwritten Book of Rules clearly states, "Name your hookah tobacco flavor accurately and descriptive enough so that there is NO question, whatsoever, about what the hookah flavor tastes like." It's obvious Social Smoke Hookah Tobacco never received their copy. Or maybe they did and they've decided to bend the rules a little. Rebels. Whether the name game is paying off or not, I can't tell. But I can tell you that their philosophy is bold and fresh, and they have an excellent product to back it up with. According to Social Smoke, Blush tastes like "a blend of raspberries, sweet fruits, and citrus with a touch of rose." Let's put it to the taste test and see what Social Smoke Blush is all about. My first impression of Social Smoke Blush was how it teeter-tottered from being a sweet fruit blend to a bitter one. Second impression: Intoxicating! You definitely get that floral perfumy vibe of rose, but not so much that it distracts from the sweet flavor. Blush also has this zestful punch to it as if it had traces of orange or lemon peel thrown in subtly. I didn't get a raspberry flavor. What I got was more of a mango/guava/pomegranate/apple taste. Lastly I'd like to note that halfway through the hookah session, I noticed a warm spice buried in the aftertaste, like some sort of magical dust had been sprinkled in without me knowing. I don't think this is one of those flavors that I'd buy in bulk, but I honestly feel this is a great hookah flavor to smoke from time to time; perfect for the occasional vacation from the norm! Give Social Smoke Blush hookah tobacco a shot and let us know what you think by leaving comments below or by posting on our Facebook page! And maybe one of you out there has some insight as to why it was called Blush and not Magical Fruit. Happy Smoking friends!
