Hookah Tobacco Review: Social Smoke Hookah Tobacco - Clove
By Jono / December 8, 2010
Social Smoke Clove hookah tobacco was going to taste anything like real cloves. For those of you that do not know what cloves taste like, they have a very warm, numbingly sweet spice flavor similar to cinnamon and/or nutmeg. It's not as hot as cinnamon but seems to be a little more intense than nutmeg. The most enjoyable thing about cloves, to me, is the taste that lingers on your lips after you taste it. Unfortunately, the only way to truly know what they taste like is to, well, taste it! Knowing what cloves should taste like and considering the fact that I've been a huge fan of cloves for the past decade, I couldn't wait to try Social Smoke Clove hookah tobacco. When I opened the 100g tin, the aroma of cinnamon, licorice, and that undeniable smell of cloves hits you swiftly. The smoke itself could not have been more dead on! Its taste was not that of cinnamon. Nor did it taste like nutmeg, ginger, or cardamom. Social Smoke Clove hookah tobacco tastes like you have a dozen cloves in your base while pulling air through a clove-stick hose. And no, clove-stick hoses haven't been invented yet, sorry. You may also notice that numbing sensation on your tongue as well, not to mention that clove sweetness on your lips while you smoke. Although I wasn't too confident that Social Smoke was going to be able to pull off a Clove hookah tobacco (not because I didn't think they could do it, just because this is such a hard flavor to replicate), this particular hookah flavor was really good! I may just have to swing for a larger tin the next time I pick this up! It's quite nice! Have you tried Social Smoke Clove hookah tobacco?
