Hookah Tobacco Review: Starbuzz Acid Hookah Tobacco - Purple
By Jono / February 22, 2011
Starbuzz Acid Hookah Tobacco has launched 4 new flavors with the vaguest titles ever. Blue, Purple, Gold, and Red. Since most people know the name Acid refers to the cigar company by Drew Estate, there has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not this new Starbuzz Acid line is going to taste like cigars. The answer is simply no. They don't. But the mystery remains when wondering what they taste like. Today, we look deeper into Starbuzz Acid Purple. When I think of something tasting like the color purple, visions of grape Kool-Aid, grapes, plums, and cotton candy pop into my head. But when I smelled Starbuzz Acid Purple hookah tobacco I was like, "whoa, what in the world is this?" It almost smelled like a tart peach. Once the Coco Nara coals were on my Vortex Bowl, my confusion lingered. The smoke from Starbuzz Acid Purple tasted like a sour peach, almost like a sweet tart plum with a slight grape flavor. Strangely enough though, it seemed to go back and forth from a tart peach to a tart grape and back again. The best way for me to describe this is to say that I definitely tasted a sour peach on the exhale with a mild candy grape aftertaste. Starbuzz Acid Purple tastes similar to those Gummi Peach O's candies (which I love!). Starbuzz Acid Purple may be an acquired taste. I don't know. But it's unique. That's for certain. Try it for yourself and let us know if you love it, like it, or not. Tell us what you taste! Leave comments below or on our Facebook page. Till next time, Happy Smoking friends!
