Shisha Review: Starbuzz Acid Shisha Tobacco – Blue

Welcome to the new line of Starbuzz Shisha Tobacco - Starbuzz Acid! The two companies responsible for launching this new line of shisha are Drew Estate (known for Acid Cigars) and Starbuzz who need no introduction. My first thought when I heard about this “pairing from left field” was whether or not this new shisha tobacco was going to taste more like cigars or like Starbuzz shisha. I’m not a huge cigar lover (let the hatemail begin), but I can tell you in all honesty that when I heard that Starbuzz was releasing 4 new flavors – Blue, Gold, Red and Purple, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them!

Starbuzz Acid Blue shisha tobacco smells a bit like a tropical bubble gum candy of some sort with a musty vibe. If the canister didn’t say Starbuzz on it, I might have said, “no thanks.” But I’m glad I didn’t let the smell sway me. The smoke of Acid Blue was super thick and tasted like a real sweet, fruity Jello bubble gum. It wasn’t rich, per se, but the flavor was undeniably delectable. It was difficult for me to pin down whether Starbuzz Acid Blue was strawberry, cherry, raspberry, or something else. Whatever is in this is certainly well blended. For those avid cigar smokers out there, I didn’t get a cigar flavor from Acid Blue shisha tobacco; I just tasted your typical Starbuzz quality shisha flavored tobacco.

Have you tried Starbuzz Acid Blue yet? Let us know what you think about it by posting comments below or on our Facebook page! I can’t wait to try Acid - Gold, Red and Purple! I hope they’re as good as Blue, that’s for sure! I look forward to reading your comments! Happy Smoking friends!

Ha! Thanks Jono! I completely agree, the smell of Starbuzz Acid Blue is not terribly inviting, but I really enjoyed the flavor and smoke. I couldn’t pin down the exact flavors either, but I feel like the Acid line of shisha has a little more tobacco flavor than other Starbuzz flavors… a quality that I very much enjoy. I encourage everybody to give Starbuzz Acid a try, there isn’t a disappointing flavor in the bunch.

I bought the “Starbuzz Blue Acid” because of the un-deniable smell of blueberry and from the roomer that Starbuzz had the thickest of the shisha smoke and the Acid line was even thicker.
The second I opened the can I got hit with a wall of just blueberry muffin smell and it was just so good! So I packed a bowl and lit up the coals. The Starbuzz shisha took abbot longer to warm up, but once it did, it was instant milk. Some of the thickest smoke I’ve had so far, and the flavor was just as amazing. The smoke was a bit harsh and left a resin that just looked down right wrong, the resin looked like motor oil and just slowly dripped down the stem into the water and was a pain in the ass to clean but it was pretty worth it for the quality of the smoke and the enjoyment.
But there is a WARNING, I’ve heard roomers that it contains sylvia 2x in it and a friend of mine(who is a light weight) said he started seeing this, like he said the shadows becames scary, and he said he saw a letter “F” fly in through my window stay on my wall for a couple of minutes and fly back out, so watch out when smoking if you are a light weight.
