Shisha Review: Al Tawareg Spearmint Gum Shisha Tobacco By Jono / Nov 23, 2010 share Facebook Twitter Google + LinkedIn Pinterest Email Share... Deja vu! Al Tawareg Spearmint Gum, really? A while back, I posted a review on Al Tawareg Fresh Mint saying it tasted like Starbuzz Winterfresh which incidentally tastes like spearmint gum. So I'm a little astonished to see that Al Tawareg makes a Spearmint Gum shisha tobacco as well. If Fresh Mint tasted like spearmint gum to me, what in the world will Spearmint Gum taste like? Al Tawareg Spearmint Gum tastes like fresh candy mints with that "stick of gum" aftertaste. I feel slightly embarrassed to have to say that out loud. But one noticeable difference is how the mint in Spearmint Gum tastes like mint leaves and has more of a gentle cooling sensation than Fresh Mint. It isn't too icy. In my opinion the two shisha tobacco flavors, Fresh Mint and Spearmint Gum, are essentially the same flavor but with different chilling characteristics. The Spearmint Gum is simply a milder mint than Fresh Mint. I rank Al Tawareg Spearmint Gum shisha tobacco up there with Romman and Al Fakher. I give it a 7.5 out of 10. Next time you're trying to decide on a "spearmint gum" shisha flavor, flip a coin. Heads Al Tawareg Spearmint Gum. Tails Al Tawareg Fresh Mint. Whichever side the coin lands on, you win! Happy Smoking!
