"Not impressed"
Anthony Sanchez on Monday, January 23, 2017 9:09:11 PM

I bought a box of these and have regretted it - They turn off on the foil side very quickly sometimes even while I'm smoking - For the price I would go with ecocha - It's what I usually smoke and will go back to after finishing this box -

Average coconut charcoal - I expected more from Starbuzz - At this price I can buy premium charcoals such as Titanium or Ecocha - These ones have better quality and burn longer

"Good product"
Alan Melamed on Monday, May 23, 2016 11:04:29 AM

I bought these instead of my normal Coco Naras as they were a bit cheaper - Not a bad coal - - - it has about a 40 minute burn time which is a little less than my experience with Coco Naras but for the price they weren't bad - For my average 120 minute session, I go through 6 of these using the Vitria/Lotus combo - I can squeeze a 90 minute session from 4 of these but the last 5 minutes don't have the huge clouds that the rest of my session typically has - All in all, for the price - - - not a bad coal -

"Definitely Switching"
Greg B - on Thursday, October 22, 2015 8:31:19 AM

I've tried both these and the "XLs" and I prefer over 'Naras - They have a smoother grain and seem more compact - I usually use 2 coals and split them with an old knife & small hammer total of 4 pieces and place on top of a medium bowl using metal screen - Heat management is easy, but coals burn a bit faster - Big coals will burn forever on an oversize bowl, but pack shisha a bit lower - these get pretty hot - 'Naras are still good, but quality of Buzz's seems better - Heat thoroughly & they'll never go out -

"pretty amazing"
Andrew Fritz on Friday, April 03, 2015 12:02:29 AM

I usually use naras - I bout a super pack with naras and got a free box of these with my order - My girlfriend and I go through naras pretty quickly but these are better - We weren't sure if they would last long but they out did naras in every way - They are all almost the same size - Naras are very choppy these are clean cut - They burn longer and hotter than naras too - And as for the size difference between the boxes you'll need those 12 extra naras to stand up to these - Needless to say I'm switching coals - Just wish they would do a super pack with al faker but that probably won't happen -

"Kept going out"
Lawrence Wilson on Tuesday, January 06, 2015 2:08:23 PM

I was stuck buying these because my local tobacco store didn't have coco naras - When I used the kaloud lotus, they went out almost every time - When I used foil it was better but still had problems keeping them lit sometimes - Not worth it - I wouldn't recommend them to anyone -

"They ain't ducks"
Randall Clay on Thursday, October 02, 2014 4:13:26 AM

They look like Coco Nara, feel like Coco Nara, but they ain't Coco Nara - They burn fast and their ash dulls the heat quickly, so you're tending them every 5-10 minutes - I found using a Kloud that if I set two face down, they would actually go out before burning halfway through, and setting two fresh coals in the Kloud would burn the shisha - Great for small heads and short smokes - Horrible for large heads and long smokes -

"great with Kaloud Lotus"
Lori Van Beek on Friday, August 02, 2013 1:35:46 AM

I typically use CoCo Naras, but decided to give these a try after I ran out - I can't speak for the quality with foil, but in my Kaloud Lotus they smoke like a champ and last a long time - Easily comparable to to CoCos and by Starbuzz no less! Can't go wrong; worth trying -

Felisha Villagran on Thursday, May 16, 2013 5:42:51 AM

At first I was a little scared to switch to Coco Buzz but Im so happy I did - These take shorter time to light, dont have much ash, and it does not affect the taste - Love love it -

"Great alternative to coco's"
Nova Hookah on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 10:59:49 AM

My experience smoking these is that they are very comparable to coco's - The only difference I could detect was a miniscule size difference - For me, this works out well for me because three of these can fit flat in my Lotus while three coco's are slightly too big - If the price were slightly cheaper than coco's, it would be a no brainer to switch brands -

"Great Product!"
Jake Muszytowski on Saturday, April 27, 2013 2:47:11 PM

I purchased the 108 pack of Coco Buzz Natural Coals after I ran out of CocoNara's just to try them - I HARDLY noticed a difference - I've been smoking for a few years with CocoNara's, of which, I love - But the Buzz product came through and put something out that's equal to its competitor - Will I buy again? I'll buy whichever of the two is less expensive!

Joel Santana on Friday, April 12, 2013 8:56:20 PM

I love these coals its my second type of coals i have tried i have not tried coconaras which i hear are also great but so far they burn great with little ash, i barely get any ash on top of my bowl - They usually last me for 1 hour - Lighting on a coil burner takes 7 mins - overall i am happy with this coal will be trying cocnaras to compare but so far one of my fav coals -

"Starbuzz Coals! = :/"
Alex Hess on Monday, February 25, 2013 2:11:29 AM

When I first heard about these I was very excited and was expecting a great product - Starbuzz always puts out the best of tobacco products, so I was expecting the same with these coals - -These coals kinda have a quick light smell when being prepared - -Definitely did not last as long as Coconaras -I felt like they are smaller as well and maybe are good for about 40-50mins tops I would rate these coals a 6 - 5/10 I would suggest Coco Mazaya's or Coconara's

"My coals of choice"
Muhammad Nouh on Monday, January 28, 2013 7:15:26 PM

1 They burn very well, and as the first reviewer mentioned, very little ash accumulation 2 They take a while to heat like all the coconut coals but maintain their heat for such a long time and don't burn out if not entirely lit all the way around I use a fliphead bowl which makes this a problem with other coals that need excessive air flow to remain lit 3 No disruption of flavor Verdict: These coals are excellent, my number 1 choice, and definitely worthy of being given a shot

"not as good as coconara"
fishinggeek123 on Friday, August 10, 2012 12:36:34 PM

I have bought this product expecting great things but they make that black area faster than the naras and the ash is a little slower yet I burn through more in a session - I switched and the flavor changed in my hookah which was really wierd - I would not even try this product - - - just stick to the good 'ol naras -
