They have a slight odor but its only when you light them - No need to ash them - A little bigger then coco-naras - They last about an hour - They bring a lot more heat then a coco-nara - I buy these when they are out of the fantasia cocoanut air-flow coals, and third in line is coco nara - I don't bother with insta-lights -
There is a slight odor when lightning the coal but nothing that lingers - I like that you don't have to ash this coal - Since this coal is bigger the most coals i've tryed, they heat completely through even the juiciest of shishas - That being said using a dryer shisha is not recommended the smoke will get harsh quick - Expecially Tangiers -
These are the best coals I have used - They don't need rotated or ashed - If you have a bowl like the AOT it works great - Hands up the best coal I have used and the smoke is about a 2 hour session -
Not only does it taste like I'm smoking a small forest, but they ash like crazy ! I call these my hookah "struggle" coals - Meaning that no matter what I will smoke these in dire need of a head - Now I am starting to realize that I would rather hold a lighter to the top of the head to get heat than to smoke these coals - 8 fingers down leaving the 2 up that mean how much these coals are worth to me, and heres a hint they are not my thumbs that are up -
I already get intense migraines and know my triggers - I just added these to my list - Got a full cherry read heat throughout, used them and got an immediate migraine - Went straight to the rubbish bin along with the money I spent on them - Too bad, I liked the idea - True to the other reviews, it's a gimmick with a free migraine to boot - Cheers Fantasia - - - - Maybe not - - -
I saw some of these in my local hookah store and picked up a pack to see how they work - I am not impressed by any means - to begin with, you are actually loosing a significant part of the coal by cutting that chunk out - Second of all, it's hard to heat the entire coal properly - When I cook my coals I usually flip them once to properly cook each side, this doesn't really work out well and the thinner parts of the coals end up cooking faster then the rest - Finally, I find that these don't put off as much heat and heat the shisha well simply because of the lack of surface on the coals - A waste of time, money and shisha, I burnt through a box of these quicker then I'd have ever used a standard box of coals -
I have been smoking hookahs now for quite some time - Around 7 years now - A lot of people complain to me that they get headaches when they smoke hookah but I have never had this experience - I have never gotten headaches due to smoking hookah, whether I have eaten or not, or even how much I smoke - That all changed once i tried these coals - First of all the only shisha I smoke now a days in Fantasia, so once I saw that Fantasia made their own natural coals I had to try them right away - The first time I used them i didnt have any problems - The second time however I smoked before going to work - Once I got to work I got incredibly lightheaded and got a very intense headache - I feel like I was going to pass out at any moment and it didnt pass for many hours - Once I got home from work I immediately discarded these coals - I would not recommend these coals at all, I will never use them again - Back to Coco Nara -
I tried these awhile back and they got me extremely sick with the worst headache ive ever had - They went straight into the trash!
Picked up these babies at a local shop, because he was out of CocoNara's the only ones I use to smoke But since I couldn't wait for his shipment, he recommended these - Tried them out and I would give a 4/5 star - Because these ash horribly, which is always a big no-no for me - The ash builds and doesn't fall off nicely like coconaras - Doesn't affect the taste, but gives off a nice and clean smoke I would say - If that makes any sense - I blow better' O's with these coals - Not bad, would I pick up another after this pack? Probably not; Coconaras are my bias, though these come second if you can't get your hand on any coconaras -
I reas some reviews that said this product was "gimmicky" and that is sooo not true - The problem they are having is that they don't know how to use them - First of all you DON'T have to ash off the coal - Yes the coal will ash but that is how it is designed - You even have to make sure when you light it that is is mostly ashed around b4 placing it on your bowl - And once you have placed it on your bowl you will enjoy a longer pleasurable smoke - No need to touch the coal at all no rotating or anything! So please do not believe the reviews below about it being "gimmicky" If you know what you are doing and you read the instructions you will have no problem - This coals is for real hookah smokers not your quick light smokers -
I have enjoyed fantasia coals for a long time and when they came out with this product I had to try it - It took half the time to light and is smoother than their regular coals! My only request is a bigger package so I can enjoy more natural wood coals!
I have purchased fantasia coals in the past and have had no luck with them - The air flow groove is a gimic, the coals are a pain to ash and often shatter after they have been smoked on a while - I will stick with my coco naras -
I'm still quite new to hookahing, but when my boyfriend brought these home from the smoke shop I was quite pleased - Up until this point we've just used the basic Fantasia coals, and I greatly prefer these - They last longer and don't taint the taste of the shisha - That being said I've been looking around on here I'm new to this like I've said and I'm looking forward to trying other coals - Overall - Good coals, GREAT compared to regular Fantasia coals, don't know how they stack up to CocoNara or Gaia coals seeings as I haven't tried them -
I've purchased these before, and even have a box of some older ones in the back of my pantry - The "air-flow" design is gimmicky, the coals have to be ashed every 15-20 minutes and are very poor quality compared to coco-naras or gaia coals - They are also processed with something, they give headaches like no other -
They light easier and faster than, most other coals I have tried - They also burn longer and Stronger than most coals - The coals how ever still do have to be rotated
