How Long Does Flavored Shisha Tobacco Last? Will It Expire?

All the flavored shisha tobacco we sell is replenished regularly and will arrive fresh to your door. We suggest storing your shisha in air-tight containers (Ziplock bags, tupperware containers (our attractive shisha jars and containers work well) and keeping it away from excessive heat or direct sunlight. Keeping your shisha moist and fresh is imperative.

You want your shisha to be as comfortable as you are - room temperature, or cooler, and low humidity. One point to acknowledge is shisha should never be placed in a freezer or refridgerator! Extreme cold can dry out your shisha tobacco faster which will affect the oils in the molasses and flavor. You can't obtain "cooler" smoke this way.

The majority of the shisha tobacco at Hookah-Shisha is sold with a " Best Sell By" or "Best Use By" sticker on the container. This is the date most manufacturers will put on the containers as a guideline to indicate how recently the shisha was packaged, but that does not mean your shisha is expired! Our tobacco stock is replenished regularly and we do everything we can to ensure you are receiving the freshest shisha we have.

Does Shisha Tobacco Expire?

In terms of expiration dates, shisha tobacco does not work like a food products. Just because the "Best By" or "Sell By" date has passed, does not mean that your shisha is no good.

It basically comes down to this -- if your shisha is kept with an airtight seal (even in its original packaging in a container), it will essentially never truly "expire" in the sense that it doesn't "go bad". In general, shisha will last over two years from the production date, and at minimum it will stay fresh for over six months after the packaging has been opened - assuming, of course that it has been kept in an airtight container and properly stored.

Yes, this is to say that you can smoke three year old shisha so long as the packaging has not been compromised. If you're worried that it may indeed be expired, check out the shisha itself. If it isn't overly dry or appear to have any compromising growth (such as mold), then it is good to go!

If you are not comfortable using shisha that has passed the expiration date, just contact us and we will do what we can to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase.

.....By the way....you should also remember to store your hookah charcoal properly as well for the optimum smoking experience!.
