Shika Hookahs

Shika Hookahs FAQ

Manufactured by some of the most experienced craftsmen and artisans in the industry, Shika earned their place amongst the greats by offering high quality, traditional style hookahs that are famous for their solid-brass construction, copper down stems, and gorgeous hand engravings that can take weeks to complete (seriously, we're not even joking about that). Nowadays, you can find a variety of different styles in Shika's hookah collection ranging from stainless steel pipes, electroplated stems, and (of course) their all-brass hookah selection; all of which deliver exceptional build quality and monster clouds with minimal restriction.

Where are Shika Hookahs made?

All Shika hookah models are handcrafted in Egypt. They infuse traditional elements from their surroundings to bring each hookah pipe design to life.

What material are Shika hookahs made from?

There are three metals commonly found in a Shika hookah: stainless steel; brass; and copper.

What does hand-etched mean?

Artisans of the Shika team utilize a single nail and hammer to create each engraving on the pipe exterior. This way of manufacturing produces a unique hookah with every build.

What do Shika hookahs come with?

Each Shika hookah package is designed to contain everything you need to get started smoking shisha as soon as you receive it. Each hookah includes a stem, glass base, washable hookah hose, Shika Oblivion hookah bowl, coal tray, and all the grommets you'll need to make your hookah airtight. You'll also receive our collection of free gifts that include a small pack of shisha flavor, hookah charcoal, tongs, pre-punched aluminum foil, and a stem cleaning brush!

Which bases are compatible with Shika hookahs?

Shika hookah pipes are compatible with a variety of hookah bases, including their own collection! If you have one of the "Mini" Shika models, such as the Mini Pen Pen, you will need a "small" glass base that measures ~8-9 inches tall with an opening diameter of ~1.3-1.4 inches. Their full-size models are compatible with "large" glass bases that measure ~11-12 inches tall with an opening diameter of ~1.75-2 inches.

My hookah stem is loose and moves around in the base, how do I fix it?

Many glass bases are made by hand, so there can be slight variations in how well your stem and base fit together. In most cases, a better fitting base grommet is all that is needed to fix this issue. You can find our available selection of hookah grommets here. Need additional help getting your base to fit? Reach out to our friendly customer service team.
