What are BYO hookah hoses made out of?
BYO Hookahs uses a variety of materials to make their hoses including plastic, foam, silicone, wood, aluminum, and resin.
Are BYO hookah hoses washable?
Yes, all BYO hoses are washable.
How do I wash a BYO hookah hose?
Simply run hot water through your hose for 2-3 minutes after each session to help prevent any flavor building up or "ghosting" inside the hose. This will also help prolong the life of your hose. For a deeper clean, you can use lemon juice and baking soda inside your hose - just make sure to thoroughly rinse with hot water afterward to prevent trapping your cleaning solution inside the hose tubing. Use immediately or hang it up to allow your hose to dry completely before the next use.
Will a BYO hose work with my hookah?
Most likely, yes. For the most part, BYO hookah hoses are universal across the large majority of hookahs. That being said, there can be some rare exceptions such as custom hookahs, antique hookahs, or some glass hookahs that require some type of adapter. Depending on the shape of your hose and the style of your hose port, you may need a different type of hose grommet to ensure a good seal between your hookah and hose. Do BYO hoses have an open or restricted draw?
BYO offers hoses with both open and restricted draws. For example, the wood handle and plastic models tend to be more restricted while the aluminum handle models tend to be more open.
Do BYO hoses come with a rubber grommet?
