What makes Three Kings coconut coals different from their quick light coals?

The quick light Three Kings hookah charcoals (in the red box) feature a chemical accelerant and flammable coating that allows them to be lit using a small open flame. The Coconut Three Kings natural coconut coals (in the green box) do not have the chemical accelerant and must be lit using an electric coil stove or hookah charcoal burner. These coconut coals offer a cleaner burn and are made from natural coconut husks. They're best used for a longer hookah session. If you want to light up fast, you'll want to use quick-lighting hookah charcoal for efficient combustion. The dependability of the fast lighting hookah charcoal is what makes them popular amongst hookah smokers.

How do I light Three Kings coals?

For the Three Kings quick lighting coals (the red box), you'll only need a handheld lighter and a pair of metal tongs to get the job done.

  • -  Using your hookah tongs to hold each piece, hold the flame to the edge of the coal until it begins to spark.
  • -  Your Three Kings hookah charcoal will begin to self-light and will be done after two to three minutes, or until all sides are completely grayish orange.

For the Three Kings Coconut coals (the green box), you will need an electric coil burner or charcoal burner.

  • -  Place each piece of natural hookah charcoal directly on the coil and turn it onto the highest setting.
  • -  Flipping them halfway through, wait three to five minutes for them to fully light or until all sides are entirely grayish orange.

Each one is a great option for your bowl.

How many pieces of Three Kings hookah coal should I use on my hookah bowl?
